Ben Shaffer was a friend and a first class orthopedic surgeon.. I met him as a thirty something when he started his practice. He immediately recognized my shoulder problems from the effects of chemotherapy that produced such pain I coujld not turn my car radio on. He prescribed the latest anti inflamatory whose side effects know at the time were a hole in the stomach. He cautioned that six weeks was enough and that I return to be prescribed celebrex.
