Dr. Beams is super sweet and won myself and my husband over as a pediatrician from the time we first met with her. However when our son was born underweight (4 lbs 11 oz at 38.5 weeks pregnant) and continued to be super slow to gain weight, she showed no concern. Around 2 months of age when he still wasn't even on the charts for weight (and was still in nb clothes) my lactation consultant told us to increase his nipple size and noticed his suck/latch was not good even on a bottle and referred us to PT where he was diagnosed ... read more
Dr Beams has been my daughters pediatrician for years, and I'm so glad I found her. She;s always available, she remembers my kiddo even if it's been a while, and will take extra time to research in order to make the best recommendation. I know other parents that go here despite her office being almost an hour away from their home, that is how amazing this practice is.
The Best!
I have loved Dr. Beams. She is patient with my kids, talks to them directly, so my kids really feel listened to. She's always been available by phone when we had an emergency. She stays up to date on medical advances and takes the time to explain things to me. I've never felt rushed. Her staff is also friendly and patient. Once (in 5 years) Dr. Beams wasn't available, and we had to see another doctor at the practice. I liked her too though, so I wouldn't mind seeing her again if needed.
