I think he's great. Great personality, and he responds very quickly to email.
I am so happy that i have found Dr. Farahmand ! I have always been a little fearful of going to the dentist, but now I find tht I don't get nervous, and I even look forward to going and seeing everyone there. He is very gentle, and has a great sense of humor ! I have even referred several friends to him, because I know they will be in good hands with him. His staff is so nice, and very efficient. I won't go anywhere else, ever !
Very friendly office. Dr. Farahmand came in after hours for a dental emergency.
I met Dr. Farahmand 4 years ago whenI had a dental emergency. I had a broken tooth. I phoned his office and explained I was new in this area and did not have a dentist but had this broken tooth. His staff was so helpful and pleasant. They got me in that afternoon and fixed my tooth. They even had to stay late to help me. My experience with Dr. Farahmand was unbelievable . I felt very comfortable at the office. I was a liitle hesitant to find a dentist on the web, but from my first visit, the receptionist was very nice and accomadating. Dr. Farahmand was very understanding that I was nervous, and let me ask as many questions as I wanted, and explained all of them in details. I have been extremely happy with the services provided by Dr Farahmand and his colleagues and staff at Albany Dental Group. They were cordial, friendly, efficient, and understanding of patients' particular situations. The office is small and homey, very clean and bright, and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Being a usually anxious patient for dental work, I've been especially impressed by Dr Farahmand's friendliness and attention to my questions and addressing them. Inaccurate estimates. I had to pay twice as much as the original estimate. He made a bad crown, which means that I know have to get a root canal. I do not recommend this dentist!
Staff are friendly, hygenists are excellent. Dr. Farahmand seems extremely busy and not able to adequately concentrate on each patient's needs. After taking over the practice from Dr. Holloway he never bothered to perform an exam on me. When fitted for a crown he was too busy to do it himself and let his assistant do it (badly).
Not a dentist I would recommend. I always sensed that Dr. Farahmand was in a hurry, and he seemed irritated when I would ask questions about my treatment that would take any time to answer. While his treatment methods were relatively painless, haste resulted in a botched job the one time I let him fill a tooth--he didn't take enough time to ensure that the bite was correct, leaving me unable to chew for several days until I could get in again to have him finish the job.
