Same as the other person wrote. I belive she has personal political views on disability that taints her objectivity. She gave me a percription she said she wasnt going to give me... for a dx she says i dont have...then when i told her it isnt helping and has bad side effects so we agrred to try something else...she wrote non complient. I don't have insurance, and consequently I have seen my fair share of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners that have been sub par. Dr Winkleman deserves a category of her own. I have never felt more invalidated and disregarded by a mental health proffesional in my life. She didn't bother to read my file or the psychological report I had send to her weeks before our appointment. Every negative comment about this Dr. Us totally accurate! Most unprofessional person in my opinion. I was describing my living situation to her she laughed out loud, Then tried to talk her way out of it after she seen I wasn't impressed with her untimely show of just how little she values her patients, her profession, or integrity!! If you have any complaints call Tim DeWeese at the JCMHC, leave a detailed message as to why your calling! As a mental health patient my trust in Psychiatrists has dwindled substantially!!
During a follow up with Barbara Winkleman, she wasn't even aware of the medication SHE had previously prescribed me. After that she criticized me for the fact that I'd stopped taking a sleep aid that she had previously suggested I stop taking. If you're unfortunate enough to find yourself in her care, expect to be out of her office within 5 minutes of arriving.
