Dr. Kage is very thorough diagnosing what might be troubling you. She takes her time with you and listens to what you have to say. Dr. Kage is very professional as is her entire staff. I would highly recommend this practice to everyone I know.
Dr Kage provides better follow through care than any physician seen in the Hartford area in 17 years. Her office visits are extremely thorough. She does order a lot of blood tests, which can be expensive, but has found additional issues that were being ignored by my primary care. I appreciate that she carefully evaluates medication regimens, spends a lot of time with you and doesn't just push prescriptions. My ob/gyn and naturopath speak highly of her. You really get what you pay for.
She spends as much time as is needed with her patients. She has everything she needs right there in the office, and she has worked with my other specialists to get the medication I needed to take care of my disease. I love the Kages and the entire office staff - Anna, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Faith, and Donna.
This office is more about revenue stream. They order too many blood tests AND insist on doing blood tests every 3 months. This is NOT needed. They also insist on seeing you every 3 months when you are stable. This is NOT needed. I have talked with another friend who went to this office and found the exact same issue. I transferred to another doctor who I found to be more interested in how I'm doing, and does not require the excessive blood tests which are costly.
I found that after getting to know me Dr. Kage was able to figure out what was going on with me. Autoimmune diseases are difficult to diagnose and without her asking specific questions and asking for more details about my past we would not be figuring this out for a long time! She is very kind and caring.
Dr. Barbara Kage, MD has a 4.2 star rating with 135 reviews.
