I have GERD and a hernia and for several years I have gone to doctors to help me. Dr. Farhadi referred me to Dr . Iqbal and that was the best thing for me. Dr. Iqbal new what my problem was and he talked to me about having Linx done. I have not felt this great in years. I would recommend this surgery to everyone. Dr. Iqbal is a very caring doctor. I had my surgery with Dr. Iqbal on October 8 and my results have been outstanding. I have gained myself and my health back. So far I have lost almost 40Ls and stopped taking cholesterol and blood pressure medication. The Iqbal was a great choice for me. He is a wonderful and caring physician. I was referred to Dr. Iqbal as I needed surgery for a hiatal hernia. He ran further tests to find there were other issues besides just the hernia. Yes it was scary going into surgery knowing my stomach was in my chest cavity, but I feel Dr. Iqbal was the best surgeon for my situation. Dr Iqbal is one of the kindest and highly skilled surgeons you can ever meet. He is so caring and compassionate. And I also had a very complicated case- my gastric ring became eroded into my stomach, and I was having horrible nausea. Dr Iqbal wasn't even my original surgeon, but he decided to take me on as a patient, at last minute notice. My surgery was a breeze because of him. We also live about an hour and twenty minutes away, but he is worth the commute! Thank you for being so wonderful Dr Iqbal!!!
I saw Dr. Iqbal for a emergency appendicitis issue in Orange Coast Memorial after being admitted. He and his staff are just fantastic! I didn't have surgery at that time, and he explained the medical necessity of waiting. His staff were all very helpful is scheduling my surgery and answering questions that I had. I had an issue after my initial release from the hospital, and had to call on a Saturday. Dr. Iqbal is amazing!! I am only 17 years old and had been diagnosed with a "virus". After 4 weeks of pain, nausea and feeling awful a friend recommended him. He fit us in the Monday after July 4 (a miracle in itself) and did a hidascan, which tests gallbladder function. I didn't have a virus...My gallbladder didn't work!! He knew the symptoms and fit us in for surgery the following Tues. He is amazing with patients and knowledge. I highly recommend Dr. Iqbal for any illness. He is kind, calm and knows his stuff!
Having surgery can be a scary experience, but because of Dr. Iqbal's calming nature and positive outlook on how he could help me achieve my goals, I felt at ease with my final decision to weight loss surgery. Dr. Iqbal is very focused yet he has a warm and friendly bedside manor! The entire team in the office was informative and very helpful from pre-op staff to the nutritionist! Dr. Iqbal saved my life! My band had slipped causing me to vomit everything I ate or drank. I couldn't even keep down water.
