My 8th grade daughter attended a med follow up exam a few years back and after the Visit she asked me if I liked Dr.Peterson? I asked why and her observation was startling.. "mom she didn't look at you once during your visit" so I quickly looked for another dr. maybe she should stay on vacation.
Dr. Peterson prescribed a synthetic thyroid med for my gout. She gave me 60 days worth of the meds, then scheduled to see me 90 days out. When it seemed that the meds "weren't working" she upped the dosages, until I was on a dangerously high dosage. Dr. Peterson is either ignorant about medications, or she just doesn't do enough research. She's dangerous and shouldn't be prescribing meds until she fully understands what she's prescribing and what ailments that they are for.
Dr. Peterson seems knowledgeable and has a good bedside manner. It seems though that she is always out on vacation. Although she is my family's primary physician, some of my kids have never met her. We always seem to be dealing with a substitute.
