It took two requests to the Medical Board in order to finally obtain a copy of my medical records from Arnie- Dr. Shapiro ha! His office refused my request. By law, it is your file. Arnie cannot stop you from obtaining it. If he does, as he did with me, please contact the KY State Board. They are located in Louisville. I guess he did not believe he had to answer to the Medical Board the first time he received my request from them. I have been seeing Dr Shapiro for years and he has helped me MUCH more than previous psychiatrists could.
I was a patient, as an adult, since my sister-in-law, who works in his office thought he may be able to help. Terrible experience. He was constant changing my medication. During visits, he could not remember what medications I was on. It seriously affected my job. I am now with a different Dr., who explained why I was on the wrong medications and now I feel great!!!
Dr.Shapiro found a very quick solution to my depression. His expertise and experience was very evident in my diagnosis and prognosis of my condition. Highly recommended.

He helped my daughter when everyone else had given up. We will be forever grateful
He changed my daughter’s meds for anxiety and depression so often, they were never given a chance to work. He also prescribed Adderall and other ADD meds and at too high of dosage. She lost a dangerous amount of weight and became addicted! He is a quack!
Dr. Shapiro helped our son when no doctor at children's hospital could help him. It was such a relief to work with a doctor who would give us hope for our son and to take the time to explain the treatment. We highly recommend him!
Dr. Shapiro has helped my son through out his whole childhood and into young adulthood. He stays on top of all research which is crucial in an ever changing mental health world! I do not know what we would have done without him. Thank you to Dr. Arnold Shapiro and his kind staff!
