Dr Gillen was the OB on call at the hospital and rounded on me whenever I checked in during active labor. The doctor walked in the room and asked me "Do you have a history of hypertension, diabetes, heart disease?" and "does it hurt to talk during contractions?". That was all he said to me. Whenever I responded "yes, it hurts", he replied, "ok you don't have to talk to me", then he left the room. He never laid hands on me or did an exam. The nurse was the one who checked the position of the baby and said baby was head down. ... read more
