Don't use Dr. Varia. His medical assistant Iris, or is it Isis, is very uncaring and shouldn't be in the medical field. I needed my prescription refilled for acid reflux medicine and she is bullying me to make an appointment so I have to pay a copay and they can milk my insurance. I'm sick of paying a copay and the inconvenience of driving there and sitting in a waiting room for Dr. Varia to talk for 5 minutes and then rush out to get the next person's money who probably lives on a fixed income. I hate doctors that make appointments and then expect the client to sit around in their waiting room for an hour! How incredibly disrespectful. If your appointments take more time, learn to schedule longer appointments.
Dr. Varia is a great doctor. He has an excellent bedside manner. He is patient & kind. He is Knowledgeable. He communicates well. He does not rush your visit. Listens and explains everything. I highly recommend him and his team. Our family sees him. I've referred friends and family to him. Everyone only has good things to say.

My husband visited Dr. Varia back in September complaining about stomach pain and had a Cat scan of the lower GI tract in October. No one had contacted him after two weeks and he decided to call the contract person and was told if results were serious Dr. Varia would've been contacted him earlier. On November 7, 2021 my husband was rushed to the emergency room complaining about sever stomach pain and the ER doctor ordered another Cat scan and saw a large mass embedded in his Rectum. I am a new patient with Dr. Varia. I must say he is one of the best physicians I have ever had. Dr V is young, yes. But he has the maturity and manner that is outstanding. Go to visit him.....
It started out good and his care went to hell. I had a partial bowel obstruction and he missed it totally even though my history with Crohn's disease and having had several bowel resections in the past. He suggested that I take Fiber when I complained of bloating . Never offering a colonoscopy or small bowel series. That day , I fired him . Went to a new doctor and now getting ready to meet with Surgeons. Would not recommend him or his staff. He use to be good.
Professional and Polite. I had been experiencing reflux issues which were not addressed by another GI. Dr. Varia had great bedside manners and has managed my reflux issues to where I no longer have problems. I recommend him.
Very RUDE!!! No communication skills very arrogant!! Wouldn’t let him treat my dog!
