Hired gun for Anthem. She denied my mother's VERY medically necessary request for an inpatient rehab stay. Thankfully, a doctor who actually understood the nature of the job and has compassion as well as medical knowledge was able to appeal the decision through a peer review. I don't have enough characters in this review to illustrate the medical conditions my mother was facing that required continued medical care. Shameful.
