I'm not sure what problem that people leaving bad reviews have had but it is the complete opposite of my experience with her. Dr. Pylkas is the ONLY doctor I've had in my life that actually listens and tries to understand me. Not to be over dramatic but she has actually made a big impact on my life. I dread the day I have to see a different doctor for any reason in the future.
Dr Pylkas is very knowledgeable about what addiction does, how it changes the brain and body. She commits long term to help her patients. The short term 30 day treatment is often not enough. She doesn't pretend to be a therapist, her role is to assist in the physiological aspect of addiction recovery. I would recommend her to anyone seeking medically assisted recovery.
She was unwilling to work WITH me on my treatment plan. Disregarded all concerns I had about her increasing the doses of medication that can cause physical dependence and dangerous withdrawal symptoms. Visiting her was like seeing a probation officer, not a compassionate health care professional.
She walked out on our session. Not a good listener, hence may be just a paper diploma and no education. Her only good review may be a relative.
Incompetent and angry, disturbed woman who apparently hates others.
