When people look for a psychiatrist or therapist, they want someone who is caring. I want to say run away far from this woman as Anna Shostak is rude, arrogant, unkind, and uncaring and uncooperative. Whenever I show my interest in changing medication or doses, she is unwilling and gets grumpy. I can't count how many times she wouldn't send my prescription to the pharmacy because she claimed she sent it. Then why the pharmacy says there is no refill. The only good thing about Dr. Shostak is that she helped me get off of Paxil, after I was on it for over 10 years and tried unsuccessfully to getting off it (had terrible withdrawal symptoms). She put me on 20 mg of Lexapro, which is supposedly easier to discontinue than Paxil, and seemed to be pretty content with following the usual script: "How are you?" "How's your sleep?"
