If I could give Zero stars I would. When I was 12 years old I was supposed to get a routine sinus cleaning and polyps removed out of my sinuses. Last minute under the knife he decided to “straighten my septum” without telling my mother or consulting me about this. So he did an unwanted/needed rhinoplasty on a 12 year old. He ended up talking all of my cartilage out of my nose. And completely changed my appearance. My mom did not have the funds to sue and I’m now 21 so it’s too late. Dr. Gungor was very dismissive and rude when I brought my daughter in for reoccurring ear infections, when we were about to leave he told my 5 year old daughter and I that she should go easy on the calories in the future.
I am writing this review 20 yrs later because Dr. Gungor moved his practice out of Pittsburgh, PA. I always wanted to give him the best review and thank you he deserved for saving my son's life. Back in 2003 my oldest son was 4 yrs old and not talking much. He was a very sick kid with constant cough, 2 bouts of pneumonia and chronic fluid in his ears. Very dismissive to my concerns. Did not follow up with biopsy results as we were told. Clearly did not communicate with his staff or review my son’s file because I had to repeat his full history and remind him as to why we were referred to him to begin with.
Started with an ENT on Fort Polk; who referred us to a pediatric ENT. Our insurance made us go to an ENT in Alexandria, who then referred us to a pediatric ENT....which finally led us to Dr. Gungor. Both myself and my 16 year old feel confident in his care and like we are moving towards answers.
