Called to see if DR. PUryear pulls ingrown fingernails; was placed on hold and the staff replied 'she said yes'. Went to the visit and thd DR. came in and said 'Hi VERonica, I'm Dr. Puryear (rude... please address me as Mrs. Reid if I'm not addressing you by you first name). I’ve seen Dr. Puryear for a few years now and she has been fantastic. She’s patient, answers questions thoroughly, and offers great advice and professionalism. Would recommend her fully.

She came into the room with a prescription already for me and asked me if I had any questions. Her assistant did ask me questions about my acne condition/history before she came, but she didn’t even ask me follow up questions before she told me what the prescription would be. So then I asked her what might be causing my acne or anything else I should do, she said it’s hard to tell what causes acne so just use the prescription. I have what was labeled as contact dermatitis. The rash is located on my lips, neck, legs and left arm. The rash on my lips is extremely painful and uncomfortable. I requested a shot instead of an oral steroid and I was denied. Something that would make a quicker impact would have been greatly appreciated. I worked for as a derm nurse for 5 years and the physician I worked for would have never denied a request like I made especially if it would have helped the patient who was in pain. Dr. Puryear is extremely personable and professional. She carefully listens to our concerns and addresses it with a treatment plan that is comfortable and has shown results. She is genuinely kind and honest, and I’m so happy to have found her! Her office staff is also extremely welcoming and sweet! I highly recommend Dr. Puryear!
