I hold two guiding principles in my surgical practice. First, I am treating a human being. Second, I take into account the whole person I am treating. Treating you is a privilege I do not take lightly. You are entrusting me to care for you and I will do so with the highest degree of respect and dignity. I look at each person as more than just a case, a disease, a problem or just a billing opportunity. I treat people as I would want to be treated if I were the patient.

I was so lucky to be referred to Dr. Higgins. He was the first doctor I saw after a 2018 triple negative breast cancer diagnosis. He carefully explained my options for treatment and answered all of my questions. He is caring, listens and has a good sense of humor. I highly recommend him.
Please contact me via email. It is very important. Thank you
Dr. Higgins and his team are the best of the best. He was my breast cancer surgeon and I couldn't have asked for more. His office is nice, generous, welcoming, happy and very knowledgable. He always took the time to explain every procedure in depth to me. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or anything like that. He was able to fully remove my tumor and gave me the gift of being cancer-free. I miss seeing him and his team, but I know he is busy helping the patients that need him most. Lastly, his office didn't skip a beat duri... read more
I'd like to spotlight this amazing surgeon who entered my life recently. I found Dr. Higgins to be compassionate, caring and introspective. He has a gift of connecting with the whole person and is able to address the emotional side within a physical situation. I appreciated his offer to pray before surgery that I found comforting. When I was ready to go home, a beautiful rose and inspiring message was given to me. What a pattern of care he shows to his patients!! Even a follow up phone call from him the next day. He definite... read more

Dr.Higgins was so kind, thoughtful and patient to explain all the different phases of breast cancer to my husband and I at one of the scariest times of our life. He put us at ease throughout the whole process and we felt we were in the best of hands. He shared a prayer with us right before surgery which was so appreciated. I cannot say how much we appreciate Dr.Higgins professional and caring attitude throughout the surgery and all our appointments. I would highly recommend Dr.Higgins to anyone looking for a caring and highl... read more
