Today we received what I could only describe as "The Royal Treatment". Dr. Wines saw us on extremely short notice (while traveling to Sydney on vacation), and the entire process from beginning to end was first class. We received links via email to complete required paperwork, and were in with Dr. Wines within 60 seconds of checking in. I had a bunion removed from my left foot. I was told I will have full range and movement back afterwards. I was off my foot for the first 4 months, then loss of feeling, sensitivity and normal blood flow to the foot has left me part paralysed with loss of balance. I would not recommend this surgery ever. My other foot will not undergo this same treatment. No follow up support or treatment. I spent more time & $$$ at the physio. Now its just numb! Can't stand on my toes or wear certain footwear. My father had a procedure with Dr Wines and our experience was spectacular. Unfortunately he got an infection afterward and had to stay in hospital for a period of time (a risk of any surgery), but as a fellow healthcare worker we were so incredibly impressed by how thorough and attentive Dr Wines was post-surgery. My Wife has been a patient of Andrew’s for nearly 3 years, she has a very complicated medical history and Andrew has shown nothing but empathy and compassion throughout her 2 major operations on her right ankle/ foot. Nothing is too hard for Andrew even a follow up phone call. She has had multiple follow up appointments and X-rays so he can track her progress. I had a Hallux Valgus, Weil Osteotomy and Morton’s Neuroma operation 11 weeks ago. Dr Wines surgical work is impeccable and my recovery has been really quick. I would recommend him to anyone needing orthopaedic surgery.
