Some providers make you feel feel unheard and try to dismiss your feelings/concerns as a parent. Dr. Valenzuela and his staff did not make me feel like that at all. Christina, the medical assistant, asked me for the reason of the visit and when I explained my child's history she didn't make me feel dumb or stupid. Dr. Valenzuela is patient, knowledgeable and understanding. He has worked with us for several months on my son's unique sleep issues, and has made the day-to-day survivable via medication.
Save your time and your child’s life by not going to see this doctor. I knew I should have just stuck with Phoenix Children’s. Did a sleep study with my 7 yr old with Down syndrome had a follow up appointment for the results, which required another $20 copay. Drove from QC to Mesa w/o our son, only for Dr. Valenzuela to tell us our son needs to be there for the appointment and we needed to reschedule the appointment. Talk about a money grab!
