(I did not see Dr. Tobon at this location, so this review is specifically about him as a doctor.) I visited Dr. Tobon in early Oct. 2024 because I had a fever and was experiencing severe flank pain. I have had kidney stones before, so that’s what I thought was going on. All Dr. Tobon did was schedule me for surgery. I was hurled over in a chair the whole appointment and barely with it. This was one of the worst medical experiences I’ve ever had. I took my mother to Dr. Andrew Albert Tobon’s office while she was in serious pain, and despite paying $306 upfront, the staff refused to even check on her. The reception was rude, dismissive, and showed zero empathy for someone clearly suffering. When I asked for a refund since no service was provided, they only gave back half the money and said the rest would be “reviewed” — which makes absolutely no sense. The doctor himself may be ok- bit his office is the most unprofessional and disorganised place on this planet.l but pretty prompt on charging you before you even mention your name . Even 2 days before a scheduled surgery they don’t call you back to confirm, they don’t answer your calls and then they send you on a wild goose chase. This doctor interrupted my check-in to berate his secretary in front of me, left my consultation midway through because he was "behind on other patients", and spent our entire session telling me the chronic issue that I’d been referred to him for was not a big deal to him, without providing any practical daily care methods that I could implement. I’d call it medical malpractice but no medicine was in fact practiced! A pretty fantastic waste of my time and money.
I was thrilled and pleasantly surprised by the amazing bedside manner, attentiveness and genuine care this physician showed for my concerns. It is hard as a young women to get people to hear you and believe you. This doctor went above and beyond to understand me and take action which I have not seen in other clinics. He also took his time to explain things thoroughly to me which helped me feel safe and trust his judgement. Highly recommend 10/10!!!
