We were grateful to have Dr. Kienstra help us at Dell Children's one night. He knew exactly how to connect with a quiet teen which was priceless. He helped us get treatment quickly. One of the best children's ER doctors in Austin.
Unfortunately you don't really seem to have a choice in the physician who treats your child when you take them to the emergency room. You also are not in a position to investigate their reviews or what others think, so this may only be helpful after the fact. I took my son into the ER one day after he had minor surgery. Dr. Kienstra insisted in taking a chest x-ray to determine if he could have pneumonia.
