Dr J is an outstanding physician! He always takes the time to really listen to what I have to say, and when I have issues he goes through all the different possible courses of treatment in great detail. He makes sure I am actively involved in my healthcare and the decision making. He is friendly, caring, and shows true concern for his patients.
Dr Jurgensmeier is one of the rare gems, as I hear so many complaints from friends about how their Drs are always in a hurry and do not care. My mom is at the end of her life and has been in ICU. Before my exam, Dr J even took the time to ask about my mom and expressed his care and concern for this difficult situation. I went to Dr. Jurgensmeir for a few years. I finally stopped going because he constantly changed for a level 4 visit for my simple follow up appointments. This caused my insurance to charge me for specialty visits which cost a lot more. These visits were to adjust medication and did not include any kind of focused exams which is the justification to charging for level 4.
Dr. J is very compassionate and takes the time to explain and answer any questions I have. You would be happy to be in his patient care. His popularity is such that you may have a wait to get an appt. but if the situation allows it is worth the wait.
I have been going to Dr. J for several years now and I couldn't be happier! I never feel like I am rushed during my appointments. He takes the time to really listen to my issues, offers several treatment options, but ultimately leaves the decision to me. He is really concerned about my health & well being. I strongly recommend Dr. J if you live in the Northland and you're looking for a doctor!
I love Dr. J! I was worried when our old family Dr. retired back in 2012 I believe and Dr J basically took over his patients and I was so happy and still am with him, I have moved almost an hour away and I still make the drive to see him for any health issues. He is very personable, takes his time never rushed and gives you options to choose from which I like. Would recommend anyone looking for Dr to go to him.

Dr. Jurgensmeier listens to all of your concerns and is very thorough in offering solutions and recommendations. He will present the options to you but let you be in charge of your own health route after you have been educated on all outcomes which I greatly appreciate. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes his time which is rare. I appreciate his mixture of professionalism and compassion. I would and do recommend him to everyone I know.
