I would like to rely on my primary care provider to guide me through the selection of the best specialists to treat the conditions I develop. My primary care provider should be in a much better position than I am to determine what sorts of specialists I require and to judge the capabilities, reputation, etc. of the various individuals who are available. I feel woefully inadequate to make these judgements with the limited medical knowledge I have.
