I learnt so much from him about my condition, and for the first time in +5 years I had real improvement. I was prescribed 13 medications over the course of five years during which I saw half a dozen specialists. Now I'm completely off 10 of them! I really like his thorough problem solving skill. Breaking down the possibilities before explaining why he's choosing this particular prognosis. It's unfortunate that other patients had bad experience with him. But we're all human, I guess. Dr. Gross has been an excellent rheumatologist for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. He explains things thoroughly and takes the time with his patients more so than I’ve seen at other clinics. He lays out various different options for treatment and takes the time to listen and consider the patient’s thoughts and sentiments as well. He has been helping me through the very complex process of adjusting RA medications to plan for IVF/pregnancy, and I’ve been grateful to have a caring doctor like Dr. Gross through it. So of the administra... read more

Truly the worst clinic at UCSF. Dr Gross is a bully who doesn’t listen or care for his patients. And sadly he is incompetent. He made multiple mistakes during my exam. I agree with last review stay strong and do not go to this clinic. I hope more patients share their experience he should not be the head of the clinic with the way he treat patient.
