I went to Dr. Berman because the ENT my PCP referred me to had poor reviews. Like other patients have said, Dr. Berman is an excellent doctor who sincerely cares about his patients and knows what he's talking about. He listened to my concerns and offered me multiple courses of action to choose from. The entire staff was polite, friendly, and most of all, kind. :)
I visited Dr. Berman’s office for a nose related issue. In short, my quarrel is not with Dr. Berman. Rather it is with his staff. Specifically, Valentina, who is responsible for obtaining insurance approvals for surgery. Which had been deemed necessary in my case. In total, I had three appointments that went smoothly. However, on my third and final appointment I was advised that surgery authorization from my insurance, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, would be necessary. Andrew Berman is a good ENT doctor but only putting 4 stars review because his office charged me for the phone call after my scan visit. He called me few minutes to tell me the results of my scan and it cost me $50 (with insurance). I would have appreciated to be aware of that before.
Stay Away from this doctor. The Doctor is a scam. Their office will not do the proper work for any medical procedure. Their office manager is very aggressive and has a condescending attitude. The doctor has no idea how the system works. They charged me upfront for my copay in the amount of $30.00 for a future appointment and never submitted the proper paperwork for my neck MRI.
