Negative 5 stars. His wife's billing practices, if not illegal, should be. She obviously does not understand Medicare authorized payment amounts for particular services rendered. Per Medicare, a physician can not balance-bill a patient. The amount that a physician receives for a service has already been negotiated, and is the TOTAL amount that he is entitled to. One of the most traumatic and horrible experiences with Dr. Sanjeev Gupta. I was pregnant with a kidney stone issue. First time meeting him he was dismissive when I would ask questions. He would answer my medical questions with a disrespectful and vulgar answer. I didn't understand how a medical doctor could be speaking to me like an uneducated individual. I love Dr. Gupta. My mom started going to him when I was in high school and now I go to him ( over 20 years and 2 kids later). These unjust comments seem more like temper tantrum or people not understanding the life of a Dr. His office manager has always been professional and courteous to me. Just the other day when I went to see him he spent more time asking me about my mom than it took to examine me lol. My mom hasn't seen him over 15 years!
