I have been seeing Dr. Martin for about 2 years or so now since moving to TX. She is really great, and I really loved my last OB from CA so was worried I wouldn't find another really excellent one. She takes her time answering all my questions and doesn't "talk down" to me. She's open to trying different medications and offers labs or procedures only if you are interested in them, she's never pushy. Her PA, Britni, is also excellent and very professional. Make sure you have the front desk verify your insurance with them before you schedule your appointment AND that the doctor provides the services you need. They will let you know the OB no longer does deliveries only AFTER they receive your insurance authorization (ok fine but I still want my first ultrasound), then they will call you the day before your scheduled appointment to say you will have to be self-pay. Amy Martin is a really nice, attentive doctor. Disappointing billing - went in for annual checkup. Double billed for annual checkup and for a regular doctor appointment. If dr asks how you are feeling and you mention something. You will get an extra bill. Also over ordered blood work that was unnecessary since on birth control pills. Prescribed HRT and testosterone. Be aware!!!!!! If you are a new patient, you will be charged a $900 "concierge" yearly fee for priority appointment access, which I do not want or need. The website is very misleading and lists all the insurance providers she accepts. There is no mention of a $900 annual fee for new patients.
