This was the worst doctor I have ever met, with poor bedside manner. Dr. Porter was rude, and I felt she was condemning me for my poor eating habits. She accused me of being at my highest weight for years, even when I told her I kept the weight off for several years after I lost 55lbs. I have been seeing Dr. Porter for over 16 years, and I continue to stay with her because of the exceptional care she provides. She is warm, compassionate, and truly takes the time to listen carefully to all of my concerns. I was hoping to switch to Dr. Porter from the obgyn who I have seen for over 15 years. I liked that Dr. Porter is a certified menopause specialist. I went to this appointment with specific questions that we were hoping to address with blood work. I was happy she listened enough to do the blood work. But it has been over a month and a half since my visit and even though the blood work was completed and loaded into the patient portal over a month ago, she has been unresponsive and dismissive. Always a great pleasure to visit Dr. Porter as one of her patients, she is terrific!
I would not recommend anyone to Dr. Porter - I cannot get over how abrasive and unprofessional this provider was. My visit with her was truly a disheartening, frustrating experience - and one that I honestly would never expect from an OB. Needless to say, I will not be returning.
