He is the most amazing doctor I’ve ever had the experience of meeting. I was a patient of his for three surgeries spanning 30 years, two at CCHMC and one at UC. He deserves all the accolades he’s received. He truly saved my life. He is the most caring, brilliant person. Not sure what the person from 2018 is talking about in their review. I can only gather they feel this way about everyone they encounter.
I met Dr,Crawford in the late seventies. I had read an article in The Cincinnati Enquirer concerning his work in neurofibromatosis (as a pediatric surgeon). I asked for n appointment even though I was In my mid twenties. He met with me, answered questions and treated me with respect. He did surgery to remove a medium size tumor from the lower part of my head/neck that was causing serious issues. Dr.Crawford was kind on our follow up visits too. The surgery improved the quality of my life.
I didn't care for Dr. Alvin Crawford. He was condescending and rude like any other arrogant senior citizen. He's a surgeon so I didn't expect much of a bedside manner but he half listen and expect for the visit to be a lecturer not a Q&A. I would never go back to him nor referral him. He should just teach not see patients.
Dr. Alvin H. Crawford is one the BEST Spinal Surgeons around. you would be lucky to have him as your doctor. I promise you that.
Dr. Crawford was recommended to my husband and me by friends and co- workers.Their children had all benefited from his treatment. To a person they literally raved about Dr. Crawford. He surgically corrected our son's severe spinal condition and is the reason he is healthy and walking today. His quality of life was determined by that surgery. Dr. Crawford is a Hero in our home.
