Broke my heel bone, was refereed to this guy by the Carlisle Hospital E.R. He tells me most older people need surgery for this type of injury, but that I am lucky, and that I won't. Puts me in a cast. The ER doctor gave me 10 vicodin to ease the pain. As my injury was still very fresh, and I was still in excruciating pain that left me unable to sleep at night, I made the mistake of asking about my script (big mistake). He told me that the pain is normal... what a guy!
Dr. Mira is an extraordinary surgeon and man. I could not have been in better hands for my total hip replacement. He prepared me well mentally and physically. It was clear in pre-op that he was in command of his environment. It was very reassuring to hear the staff's universal respect for him and his abilities. It was also gratifying to see him treat everyone whom he came in contact with dignity and respect. It was a wise God who made this man a surgeon.
Terrific surgeon. Kind and gentle manner. I always looked forward to my appointments with Dr Mira.
