We met with Dr. Spira twice to discuss potential clinical trials and seek his expertise and guidance regarding my dad’s treatment. Unfortunately, both experiences left us very disappointed. He seemed extremely busy and, at times, as though he wasn’t fully engaged in the conversation or invested in understanding my dad’s situation. Dr. Spira has been my Oncologist for over 14 years. He is very caring about my well being, and everything he has prescribed has been so beneficial. Yesterday, I saw Randi Rabin, a member of Dr Spira's team - as usual, she was great!! I am so thankful that I can count on Dr Spira and his team.
Everything was wonderful. We felt truly welcomed, cared for, and very grateful for the experience.
Dr Spira and the entire staff at Va Cancer have been courteous and professional with me the entire length of my cancer journey.
Dr Spira takes the time to answer my questions. He gives honest and clear information about my type of cancer, the clinical trial process, and the mechanism by which the trial medication works. He treats my wife and I with respect and dignity as we make our way through this life impacting program. His staff are all caring individuals who mix compassion with technical expertise.
