Have had two treatments, first reduced pain and second eliminated pain. I have a pinched nerve in back so pain may/will return, if so I will use Dr. Harpavat.
Dr. Harpavat can't be beat. He has been my pain management doctor for several years. I have no complaints with his staff or him. Both are extremely friendly. Dr. Harpavat takes time to explain the pain you are having and tells you your options. I drive over an hour to see him although they have good pain management doctors here but I consider him the best!
I thought he was great when we talked and the plan he had for me. Then the medication didn't work and when I told him. The assistant just said increase dose. I did but it still didn't work. I again told him it didn't work. The doctor still couldn't bother to talk to me him self. He let me stay in incredible pain for a week only later say he can't help me. I'm just let down in the care And treatment I received.
A fantastic doctor who listens and breaks it down w no BS> is invested in increasing your quality of life, not masking it. Unfortunately the options I had did not work for my type of pain, but he was excellent in attempting. Would not hesitate to see him again.
I have seen Dr Harpavat 3 times over the last 7 years. I was referred to him after my concerns that my other pain management doctor only wanted to mask it with narcotics. Although Dr Harpavat can do this, he has many other options before this needs to happen without suffering. I am more than happy to drive the hour I do to see the best in the DFW area. If you have the opportunity to see him, do it. You will not regret it! Highly highly recommended if you want a good active quality of life again!
Excellent pain management care. Ability to explain what you feel and he LISTENS! Dr Harpavat is friendly, informative, gives you your options and makes sure you understand everything. He does not rush you out, no more than a 5 minute waiting period. The staff is friendly, and caring. Scheduling an appointment is very easy in that they try to get you in to see Dr Haparvat as soon as possible. The longest I waited to get an appointment is 5 days.
Love Him!! He's the BEST
Dr. Harpavat is not the doctor to see if you want someone to just write you scripts. He is the guy that can lower your narcotic intake and help you enjoy life again. He is very open and honest and will treat you with respect if you are really trying to improve your life with chronic pain.
My first appointment with the doctor went poorly, Dr. Harpavat only looked at the medication portion of my chart and did not do a history or any examination. He actually came out into the foyer and informed me that If I expected him to continue filling my current treatment progam of medication I would need to find another doctor; so I turned and walked out of the foyer without saying another word.
