I waited over 45 minutes to be seen at my initial appointment, only got to talk to the doctor for 15-20 minutes and after that I have been stuck dealing with the rude and disorganized staff they have there. I was told to wear a splint, but my job involves physical labor and intensive use of my hands so I asked for a note to give me some time off work and they refused on the basis of "the doctor hasn't finished discussing the results with radiology". My diagnosis is murky but my symptoms are frustrating and real. Empathetic and kind, Dr. Shaikh is working with me as a partner to find the right medical approach to treating an elusive category of rheumatic diseases. She is a good listener, a critical skill in rheumatologists. Highly recommend!
