Spent two years being misdiagnosed until I finally got proper diagnosis from the cleveland clinic. Was focused on a spinal surgeon there and was subsequently referred to Dr Meleis from an acquaintance. I'll be brief...this young man changed my life. He is a skilled and confident surgeon who is impeccably trained and the capital region is blessed to have someone of this caliber to treat such complex spinal disorders.
This experience raised concerns about documentation standards. Injuries and symptoms I reported were omitted from the medical record, affecting continuity of care. Patients depend on accurate documentation as a fundamental component of professional medical practice.
My brother-in-law has been diagnosed with his 3rd primary cancer.... this time, metastatic. But this guy is a fighter!!! And although the ball was dropped in follow up PET Scans, CAT scans, chemo, radiation therapy...... Once Dr. Meleis heard of this, he fixed it immediately!!! I would 1000 percent recommend him!!! I would definitely trust him with my life!!! I've been an OR nurse for over 40 years, & to say this speaks volumes!!! He is such a rare gem in the medical field!!
My ortho pain doctor sent me here for a second opinion on surgery. Dr. Meleis provided me with details regarding future potential complications from surgery that had not been discussed with me previously.
