He could have killed me. Thankful they stopped taking my insurance after 12 years. Taking multiple ibuprofens caused stage 3 a chronic kidney disease. They never noticed. I have been a patient of Dr. Hernandez for quite some time. I always appreciate his knowledge, the time he spends with me, and the patience he has with me. Yesterday confirmed why he is and will always be my doctor. I was having an issue with my eye and not knowing how my insurance works, I called an ophthalmologist to schedule an appointment. Dr. Hernandez was telling my husband that his issues were due to his weight, each and every follow up he’d blame it on his weight and that he had to lose weight, instead of referring him to a specialist. Fast forward, my husband lost the weight and was still experiencing the issue. New PCP referred him to a specialist and it ends up its due to a neurological issue caused by his brain injury, which Dr. Hernandez was fully aware of at the time.
