RecommendedAs always, I can't recommend this place enough!!! I've been feeling down and we ordered take out tonight since it's my favorite Japanese restaurant. As always, the food was high quality and delicious and exactly what I needed to be cheered up a bit! 😊

The server and the chefs were very friendly, greeting us at the door and wishing us a good night on exit. The server was very attentive to our table, refilling low drinks without us asking and making sure we understood the menu. The food was great! My favorites were the capelin fish with roe and the beef tongue but everything from the miso to the chicken liver was excellent.
My husband and I have a couple fav go-to Japanese & sushi restaurants in the Phoenix-Tempe area, but once in a while we like to try a different new place. We ordered our soup, ramen & sushi takeout on a Friday evening. The order was accurate, which was very important to us as we do not prefer tobiko. In my opinion, the ramen was a bit overly salty. The order was made to our preferences and the service was good. Overall, our first takeout order was as expected, we felt the food quality and presentation was average.

My family has been a supporter of Dozo for years! We love their food, the atmosphere, and incredible hospitality they offer! Such a wonderful dining experience each visit ❤️
Customer service was top notch, but in all honesty, the food really needs some work for me to go back. I've never not finished my ramen, but I left around 1/2 the bowl last night...something was just off about it. Also paying for whatever was awry this morning, ugh. I'll give it another try later this year before I write it off, but for now I'll stick to Tampopo.
Love this place. Traditional Izakaya menu is rare aroundAZ.
One of my absolute favorite places to eat! Even better now that the music has gone back to their typical fare rather than American pop. Never had a bad item on the menu, never had a bad experience.
