About this business

The decor in Doyle's of Oak Forest is modest and casual with the feel of a German Hill Country cafe. Families particularly enjoy the comfortable atmosphere and the "home-cooking" focus of the menu. New pasta dishes are creating quite a stir, and the traditional lasagna and pizzas are as popular as ever. Every order is accompanied with baskets of garlic bread laden with butter. With reasonable pricing your wallet certainly won't suffer and you're sure to help yourself to multiple helpings of these savory meals.

Comfy place with delicious food – Ate there with a friend on a weekday evening. Delicious food including Chicken sandwiches, sphagetti, salads, and gumbo. Portions are generous and they have a great selection of different foods. Service was excellent and fast. Very clean with a family-friendly atmosphere or just for meeting casually with friends. Prices were very reasonable also. Wish they were closer to where I live.

This place is not just about Pizza & Italian! – At Doyle's you can get some great salads. (my favorite is the chicken salad or shrimp salad in an avocado with fruit on the side, homemade croutons which are really toasted baguettes with garlic butter), or some good deli sandwiches, including a reuben, or a corned beef. an angus burger, grilled chicken, or shrimp gumbo in a spicy dark roux. And don't pass up the desserts. This is a true neighborhood gem. I am not knocking the italian food or the pizza, but don't pass it off as... read more

Oak Forest institution since the early '50s for homemade Italian food and a family friendly atmosphere. – Since 1954, this family owned neighborhood favorite has been serving homemade Italian fare to Oak Forest denizens (and devotees who think the drive's well worth it). The décor is simple and mostly serves as background for the much-loved menu of Italian-American dishes. Menu standouts include the thin crust pizzas with a schmear of sauce and a variety of toppings, the bubbling lasagna, hearty pasta dishes including spaghe... read more

Wonderful! – A nice old fashion type establishment. You can tell that the place has been around since the 1950s. It is still family owned and operated and that touch of care is largely felt. Tables are a little close together, but you receive nothing but top notch service and food. They provide all you can eat garlic bread, and a largely Italian based menu, however, they do offer other items such as Burgers, which are pretty good. Their Shrimp Gumbo is incredible, and their pizza is unbelievable. Come to think of it everythi... read more

Ribbons of blue, good food for you... – When you see Marvin Zindler's blue ribbons--that's right, plural--on the wall, you know you can't go wrong. Their pizza is hard to get: they're only open five weekdays for lunch and two evenings for dinner, and their vacation each summer is way too long. This formula, that of limiting the food's availability, works: they thrive. Because there is nothing comparable, we customers put up with the inconvenience of not being able to get Doyle's pizza anytime we want. They removed the "pizza... read more
