I had gone to Dr. Doyle for around 4 years now. I am very dissapointed with her communication skills. She failed to help me cope with my situation and is very degrading.
Dr. Doyle counseled our children through a difficult family breakup beginning in 2013. From our experience, she is very direct and level-headed, and not someone to be pushed around by a strong-willed adult (or child for that matter). If you really seek support for your children, I highly recommend Dr. Doyle.
Dr. Doyle has a very to-the-point style that some may not like, when compared to a more conservative psychologist. I found it very refreshing and dramatically more helpful than just hearing the same old "how did that make you feel" or other similar unhelpful things (at least for me) that sound like they are regurgitated from a psychology textbook. Sometimes, practical and honest advice, or hearing that 'if it sounded dumb in your head, then it's probably dumb' (not an actual quote) is the best.
