Been coming here since I was a kid. Best breakfast on island. Now GF options too :)
Outstanding food and the women there treated me like we were cell mates. I mean family. You know who you are. Lol
Found this place in the coastal living magazine. So while we were in nantucket in September, we ate breakfast there twice. The food and service was excellent. We were lucky because the place that we were staying was right down the street from downeyflake. Would definitely recommend. One thing to remember, they do not take debit or credit cards.
The pancakes are incredible. I don't usually like pancakes in general, but these have converted me. The wait staff are hurried, but friendly and accomodating. Our waitress even went into the kitchen to ask other staff where we could rent fishing rods on the island. Seriously, don't even consider not going here.
