Service was very very slow!! Staff wasn't to overly friendly. Music was terrific!
We came in during a Blizzard and we’re the only ones in the restaurant to start the night . My wife’s chicken came out Luke warm and my sons chicken was not very tasty .
The Downtowner has been our family’s place to celebrate for years. The food is always excellent as is the service. How do they continue this excellence year after year? Moe, the owner, is usually in the front of the house making sure that people are welcomed and seated promptly. What an asset to my hometown!

We had been in for breakfast on St Patrick's Day morning and had *amazing service and great food*. Fast forward a few hours and we had come back for dinner between hockey games. We had been told by family members that were there a bit before us that was a considerable wait for a table, so we were very impressed when were seated right away and a server came to the table very quickly. The menu seems a bit limited. But everything on it is well conceived and expertly prepared. The wood fired oven is they key element in most dishes. Very friendly staff, great bar and cozy atmosphere.
