I was astonished by the lack of interest and empathy with me as a pregnant patient. I joined this clinic early on during my pregnancy, I believe I went on my 7th week. The first visits were okay, fasted passed but it was mainly bloodwork and test provided by the staff. As my pregnancy progressed to 12 - 16 weeks I started to feel distrust with the doctors. Appointments run 45 min late Very old building and old equipment
I had a disappointing experience with a nurse practitioner. After sharing my medical history and opening up about the challenges I’ve been facing, I was met with a condescending and dismissive attitude. Instead of feeling supported, I left the appointment feeling belittled and unheard. Compassion and empathy are essential in healthcare, and unfortunately, those were completely lacking during my visit.
