As others have already noted, this clinic is ridiculously overpriced and the vet is keen to suggest expensive battery of tests for minor issues. We brought our cat is for a relatively minor problem. She had been recently assessed at another vet clinic and her health was deemed good for her age. But after a pricy assessment at the Downtown Cat Clinic, the vet told us our cat would need: blood tests, procedures, dental work, all adding up to just shy of $2500. Started okay when I had a low maintenance cat with minimal health issues (she lived to be over 20 and I have to say Dr. Bonder was never pushy, conducted dental extractions at a reasonable price, and was very compassionate when her time to go came in 2019). Since 2020 not so much. There seems to be a revolving door of vets now. One excellent one was Dr. Frankie Kennedy but she's gone. They tried to schedule my cat for a nonexistent third dose of a vaccine just to get more money. They scheduled my cat for a third dose of a vaccine. I remember thinking, “Wait… aren’t these usually only two doses?” but I was so busy at the time that I didn’t question it. I still let them make the appointment.
