This place changed ownership/management recently. Be sure to avoid it. Four years ago, I got excellent service (from different people) so I decided to come to this again. Now, it looks like new people took it over and it's just straight up incompetent. I'll be going to Albany Subaru next time. It's a longer drive but worth it.
I brought my car in for maintenance today and was assisted by Mark Winkler. It was easily the worst experience I have had at a Subaru dealership and I have been going to the dealership since I purchased my Subaru almost 5 years ago. He saw I was a young woman coming in to service my car and took advantage of the lack of knowledge I had about diagnostic criteria for vehicles. Truly unfortunate experience here — I was quoted nearly 4K (and close to another 6K for other miscellaneous repairs which was honestly shocking) for replacing front and back struts — went to my new mechanic in el cerrito and all that needed replacing was a control arm linkage for $200. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I brought my car in for warranty work to replace the front window motors. I was called and told that my car also needed an engine oil change and tire rotation which I said was fine as long as they could return the car in time for me to pick up my child from school. When I received the invoice it was for a $2500 60k mile tune-up that even the scans from the dealership said was not necessary.
