DTSB- The New Place to Be! – This bar has transformed into the place to be on a weekend in Downtown Raleigh! The bar is located right in the middle of Glenwood South and the scene is about early- late 20's, with a large college and young professional crowd. DTSB is half sport's bar, half night club with great DJ's, a packed dance floor, TV's (with the game on) and pool tables. Absolutely Horrible Dump -Decent People Beware! – If I could give this place a zero I would. I went to Stool Pigeons a few years ago and it was nothing special but now that it is Downtown Sports Bar & Grill this is BARNONE the WORST BAR IN RALEIGH! THE WORST BAR EXPERIENCE EVER – I went to Stool Pigeons one night last year around Christmas time. I was in town visiting my sister, and we went out for her friend's birthday with a group of girls, all of whom are empoloyed at UNC and registered nurses. In other words, we were out for a good time, but not a rowdy, annoying bunch. We're professional women. Unbelievable Bad Service Story – I went to catch a basketball game during tourney time at about 2pm. I asked the manager who's in control of the television's to find the Ky-Miss St game on ESPN Full Court. I was told by the manager, Travis, that they didn't carry the game. I expressed dismay that any sports bar didn't carry FC, especially one that I knew from previous experience actually did, he reluctantly went back again. Poor Service – Wait Staff is rude and unprofessional. The manager doesn't seem to care much about it. And I had to wait more than 30 min. for two appetizers that got cold...
Okay – Stoolie's is okay, but it's not my cup of tea. . . .I prefer less packed, non-meat market bars where I can actually get up to the bar reasonably easily. . . . I guess good for them . . .they're busy I think I need to try them again, but on a weeknight this time . . .
A Great Time! – I was completely pleased with my time at Stool Pigeons. We arrived on a Saturday night about midnight and the place was hopping. Fortunately, there was beer and shots being sold in the foyer while we waited so I could get my drink on. Every TV was playing recent videos and the music was hot! The temperature was too, but tolerable. The bartenders and servers were all attractive and pleasant to me and my friends.
