My husband and I highly recommend Downtown Social as a wedding venue! We held our ceremony on the rooftop, our cocktail hour on the 2nd floor, and our reception downstairs. The space has a modern feel and great lighting that you can easily make your own. The venue also has a perfect room for getting ready. We really enjoyed working with Valerie! She was available, kind, and helped us with venue details.
We had the pleasure of planning a bridesmaids luncheon for a client at Downtown Social in early March. Being from out of town, I leaned on Valerie for her expertise on the space and the area throughout the planning process. She was so accommodating with the set up and vendors that came in to the space to bring in speciality rental pieces. Downtown Social is one of the best, if not the best venue to host your next party. It has everything you could ask for-a beautifully well kept facility—offering plenty of space at different levels which adds interest to the design. Everything is super clean-the bathrooms are monitored and kept stocked and are spotless-and the kitchen area is perfect for a caterer. Update: The key here, is transparency not the built-in gratuity. The 20% fee is not disclosed to customers and the bill is not provided for review. As a business owner myself, I find deceptive practices that take advantage of customers particularly offensive, and detrimental to other businesses who do try to build a foundation of trust and respect with it's customers.
