Downtown Camera would really benefit from having some women, femme and disabled/neurodivergent staff to assist with selecting gear. Several of the male staff seem to be impatient, impersonal, condescending, judgmental… leading to an unwelcoming and intimidating environment. If I were younger or less experienced, I think I would have a tough time shopping here and might be put off from visiting film/photo-centric (often male-dominated) spaces like this.
I am writing to commend two of your employees Graham and Diego. Both gentleman have excellent customer service to say the least. I am based in the Metro Vancouver area and have never step foot in your store before, yet they treat me like a long time client with all the casual friendliness and respect.
