Derek and Miranda were very helpful and knowledgeable when we were seeking help with filing and advice. We saw Derek right before his surgery. They have many knowledgeable people working there
It's not everyday you trust a stranger with the proceeds of the sale of a property you've owned for 20 years - sounds like a nightmare doesn't it? Derek was referred to me by my real estate attorney and made me feel like my money was being held safely and would be dispersed when I was going to buy my new property. The transaction was smooth, I wasn't losing sleep and most importantly Uncle Sam didn't pick my pocket!
Avoid this company at all costs. Terrible communicators and not willing to work with novice investors on 1031 exchange to understand the way it works. Derek was virtually absent from all commmunication and was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of or a response from. I feel 100% ripped off paying them a $1500 fee for services that were TERRIBLE.
As far as I'm concerned, Tony Phillips is the Guru of 1031 Exchanges and I wouldn't have anyone else serve as an Accommodator/Qualified Intermediary of this type of transaction. I reached out Tony last year with some very detailed questions as we were preparing to sell my mom's commercial property, and he answered them all in such a nice, patient, easy-to-understand manner.
