On Nov 4, 2021 Dr Downs replaced two upper left molars with permanent crowns. I moved away from Va Beach in August of 2022 to Florida where I went to Spodak Dental in West Palm where the dentist there told me my teeth were hitting hard on the left side to the extent it was causing my jaw to slip right to align my teeth. He told me my crowns (the ones Dr Downs put in) were too tall and she obviously in his opinion ground way to much on them and showed me pictures of brown spots in the middle of both crowns which he said shows... read more
Let me be clear, I needed serious work done by a competent dentist. I wanted a dentist who could do most of what they prescribed. Like extractions! How can you call yourself a dentist and not perform simple extractions? I needed a route canal, I now know a nitrile dam is required around the tooth being worked on to prevent file shavings from being swallowed, did she do that, NO! Also after the route canal, the root shafts are to be flushed to kill bacteria and infections, this is to prevent an abscess at the jaw bone th... read more

Dr. Downs is the best dentist that I have ever gone too
My first visit to Downs Dental was yesterday after several years of going to another practice. The entire staff was warm, pleasant, and professional. Made me feel most wecome and comfortable. Facility is very nice and made for a relaxing visit. My hygenist and Dr. Downs were thorough, knowledgeable, and gentle. I highly recommend Downs Dental and am glad I found them.
