We loved our patient experience with Dr Downey, however she encouraged “preemptive” tubes on my baby at only 15 months old. No history of ear infections, these were placed “just in case” she ever got an infection? Every doctor we’ve seen since disagrees with the tubes and I wish we got a second opinion at the time. It was an enormous mistake that I regret to this day, she is now six years later facing her third surgery to correct the damage caused by the tubes. Today was my first visit to Dr. Downey, and boy, was I impressed! This is the BEST ENT doctor I have ever visited. She is METICULOUS, THOROUGH, KNOWLEDGEABLE and PATIENT - with a wonderful "bedside manner" to boot and LISTENS to you! Wish I could give her TEN stars. Highly recommended. Thank you, Dr. Downey!
