Great Color After having some iffy experiences at the Douglas J Institute, I decided to try the Exchange. My highlights had gotten super blond over the summer and I wanted to get some lowlights to tone it down and break up the color. I made an appointment at the Exchange for a New Stylist (their lowest level) and it was fantastic. She was really helpful in selecting colors and did a great job. The highlights look really natural. Good, but awfully exposed I ended up at the Exchange when the student at the Aveda school called in sick and couldn't do my tint and highlight. The school was kind enough to send me to their professional salon a block away and pay the Aveda school rates. The colorist was fantastic. The only think I hated about the experience was the fact that the whole place is windows. I really don't like the idea of people walking around downtown A2 seeing me with foil on my head. Waiting for a Haircut Douglas J Ann Arbor I was in Ann Arbor for a wedding and was given a recommondation to the Aveda Douglas J Salon. My friend suggested seeing Sandra . Making the appointment was easy and they even called a couple of days before to confirm. I was right on time for my appointment, it is a large salon with lots of activity. short...then shorter I had a haircut with j and he seemed nice, but it was not nice when he cut off more than i asked for. he hardly talked the whole time and seemed very cold and in a hurry, and told me what to do. he is a higher level that they definitly talked him up, but unless iwant a buzz cut next time i will not be going to j.

My friend is still work at this place and she experienced some pretty heavy discrimination. Don't support this place unless you support bigotry. Disgusting management. Go get your haircut at Great clips before you give your money to these clowns.

Disgusting management, don’t deal with this place and their racist, poorly educated, ignorant employees. From the top to the bottom of the people working in this place they’re all bigots and don’t deserve a lick of anyone’s money let alone should any of them even be working in customer service. I recommend you watch a YouTube video before you even step foot in this place

My hairstylist Emma did a great job. She gave me exactly what I wanted and needed in a hair cut. Everything was very clean. Will definitely go back again.
