In May of 2002, Dr Douglas Martin did 2 surgeries on my spine. The discs in my neck and lower back had herniated and were causing a lot of pain. He did my neck first, C4 thru C6 with a titanium plate and 5 screws. He was sitting at the foot of my hospital bed when I came to. He said, "Just wanted you to know, I used the Brand name, Scotch tape!" Such a great surgeon with a sense of humor too!
